DIRTBALL

Now you can play Dirtball on Governors Island. Dirtball is a re-imagined basketball court where humans, plants, animals, minerals and microorganisms play together to nurture soil and fight climate change at the same time.

Dirtball: Fruiting Body is a structural prototype of a soil monitoring buoy in the form of a giant overturned mushroom where the sky scratching mycelium host miniature components of a Dirtball court and a flag for the future DIY Dirtball.

MARTIN DANCE

Looking up from just below elbow height, two people's heads are inside a giant bird house. They are each looking at a mirror that reflects a tiny labyrinth they are navigating by moving their bodies.
Two people play Martin Dance. They are standing, facing each other about shoulder width apart, with bent legs. Their heads disappear inside a large white purple martin hotel with a green roof.

Martin Dance is a purple martin hotel with a two-person head mounted labyrinth. Players collaboratively navigate the labyrinth by moving their bodies and trace the migration of a purple martin from the Amazonian rainforest to Erie, PA, USA. An accompanying soundtrack is composed from the song of migrating purple martins.

The Long Dash: Copenhagen is a collaborative choreographic climate change resiliency game. The game focuses on the impact of sea level rise and the potential of positive cumulative actions of the three generations between now and 2100.
